The following guidelines will help you achieve the greatest success in your career as an Associates of Westport Temp. Whether you have worked as a temp before or this is your first time, we are sure you will appreciate the personalized service given to you by our professional staff.
Payroll Procedures
Associates of Westport issues paychecks on a weekly basis.
Please make sure your timesheet is completed both neatly and accurately. We send a copy of your timesheet to the client at your location, so please print neatly and TOTAL your hours. Unless you work on weekends, your timesheet is due no later than Friday afternoon. It is your responsibility to make sure you get paid. We recommend you keep hard copies of your weekly timesheets. If you need extra copies of blank time sheets, click here and print one.
Your paycheck cannot be processed without a timesheet.
Paychecks will be mailed to your home address on Wednesday afternoon. Paychecks are available to be picked up no earlier than 8:00am Thursday morning. If you plan to pick up your paycheck, please remember to mark the "hold" box on the top right hand corner of your timesheet, otherwise your check will be mailed home as usual. If you do not arrive by Friday afternoon, we will drop your check in the mail.
Corporate Etiquette
Attire:
Corporate attire is a must. Men should wear a shirt and tie and women are to wear skirts or a suit. You can adapt your dress code to the office environment once you have been there awhile.
Phone calls:
When you arrive at your assignment, you must call your Associates of Westport personnel counselor with a telephone number where you can be reached during the day. Personal phone calls should not be made or received at the client site. Please be aware of your beepers as well.
Absenteeism & Tardiness:
Associates of Westport expects you to arrive at your assignment at least ten minutes before your scheduled start time. If you are sick and not able to report to your assignment, please call our offices immediately, so we can notify the client.
Availability:
Everyone is responsible for checking in on a regular basis. It is important that you call in your availability, changes of address and/or phone number. Consider getting call waiting and check your messages. Remember, when you are looking for a job it is important to have a clear and professional message on your answering machine.
